13 Months/13Topics Project 2019-20
MONTH 8: Anything Goes, Week 1: " Leaving Florida"
Got behind with this project because of being busy with closing down our Florida condo, packing, and preparing for the trip back to Connecticut. We brought our own food. We avoided drinking much water so that we wouldn't have to stop as much. We stayed in a hotel which has a good reputation for sanitization. We were a little nervous with staying overnight, but we slept well. We traveled through Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Those states looked like there is no pandemic. Everything was open and no one wore a mask. When we hit Virginia ( where our hotel was), everyone was wearing a mask and restaurants were closed. The fast-food places had drive-through stations, but the lines were very, very long. So we made good time and are relieved that the trip is over. We were exhausted for a couple of days after arriving at our home, but are now well settled. We are doing a 14-day quarantine which Connecticut recommends. We are seeing our children and grandchildren only through windows and front doors for now. We will spend time outside with them, distanced, after the quarantine is over, and will take it all step by step. We go outside for walks and for picking up our groceries curb-side, just like we did in Florida. Sony A6000 with Rokinon 12mm lens.
