MONTH 7: WEEK 4: Sheltered in: Going Back Soon
It is beautiful here in Florida. We go through our daily life carefully , holding fast to Hope. Nationally, each day brings more chaos and confusion. We will be starting our drive back to Connecticut in a few days and are eager to be with our family again. But there are so many question marks. Should we drive straight through the 20-hour ride without stopping to sleep in a hotel overnight? Is it riskier to stay in a hotel for one night? Many snowbirds down here are grappling with this question. Some have decided to stay here and not go back to the Northeast this year. We have decided that it is very important for us to have a decent night's sleep. We will stay in a hotel which we trust has taken all measures possible to make our stay as safe as possible. And when we finally arrive at our Connecticut home we are supposed to self-quarantine for 14 days since we will be coming from another state. When can I hug my children and grandchildren???????? Is it a significant risk to hug them? I CANNOT imagine not hugging them. We have great confidence in the measures our Connecticut governor has taken.
